Well, this is where I’m supposed to tell you who Lori Donovan is… but as I’m still very much a work in progress, I’ll tell you about some of the things I am, have been or aspire to be.

After working in corporate philanthropy for almost a dozen years, I left the world of suit and tie for a bread and butter existence as a blues singer.  With the support and accompaniment of my partner in life and love, Jeff Roberts, I perform both regionally and along the east coast intermittently.  You can find out all about our comings and goings at www.donovanrobertsduo.com.

Although I am a singer professionally – I also work as a music manager and booking agent for bands and musicians as close as my own backyard and as far away as Trinidad.  It keeps me grounded in the music business when I’m not performing and it puts food on the family table.

Occasionally, you can also find my by-line as a contributing writer in Blues Revue magazine or a plethora of regional publications. And, when I’m feeling extra creative and hungry, you can also find my graphic design work on a variety of websites, advertisements and promotional pieces.

I have two wonderful children, whom I don’t discuss much on-line, and a supportive family and friend system that keeps me grounded in a very crazy business.
